General Terms & Conditions

1. Scope of Application
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all services provided by
VELLA Luxury Services – G. Bischler, hereinafter referred to as “VELLA,” headquartered in Gockhausen, Zurich.

The GTC govern the contractual relationship between VELLA and its clients in the following service areas:

  • VELLA Private Concierge

  • Luxury Experiences in Switzerland

  • Signature Afternoon Tea

  • Private Events

  • Boutique Private Staffing


2. Conclusion of Contract
A contract is deemed concluded once VELLA has confirmed the client’s request in writing and the first payment has been received within the stated deadline.
An oral or informal inquiry does not constitute a binding agreement.
VELLA reserves the right to decline any request without providing reasons — particularly in cases of unclear identity, reasonable doubt regarding payment ability, or incompatibility with the company’s values.


3. Payment Terms
Payment conditions by service category:

  • VELLA Private Concierge:
    According to individual agreement — either as a monthly flat fee under a retainer model (for ongoing availability and on-demand assistance) or as a single service (e.g., daily or hourly rate).
    In both cases, payment is required in advance.

  • Luxury Experiences in Switzerland & Signature Afternoon Tea:
    A booking is only considered binding once full payment has been received.

  • Private Events:
    50 % deposit upon booking; remaining balance due no later than 7 calendar days before the event.

  • Boutique Private Staffing:
    Analysis, selection, verification, placement, training, trial assignments, and fine-tuning are invoiced as a customized flat rate, payable upon booking.
    Employment is handled through a partner company.


4. Rebooking and Cancellations

a) VELLA Private Concierge

VELLA offers two models:

  1. Retainer Model (Ongoing Contract):
    For continuous concierge support (e.g., VIP assistance on call), billing occurs monthly in advance according to the agreed flat rate.
    The contract may be terminated by either party with 14 days’ notice to the end of any month.

  2. Single Assignment (Pay-per-Use):
    Individual services (e.g., project-based or day-specific assistance) can be booked flexibly.
    Cancellations are free of charge up to 7 calendar days prior to the scheduled service.
    For later cancellations, the following apply:

  • 6–3 days prior: 50 % of the invoiced amount

  • Less than 3 days prior or no-show: 100 %
    Rebookings are possible depending on availability.


b) Luxury Experiences in Switzerland & Signature Afternoon Tea

  • Up to 30 days before service: free cancellation

  • 29–15 days before service: 50 % of the paid amount

  • From 14 days before service or in case of no-show: 100 %
    Rebookings are possible depending on availability.


c) Private Events

  • Up to 30 days before the event: free cancellation

  • 29–15 days before the event: 50 % of the total amount

  • From 14 days before the event: 100 %
    Rebookings are possible depending on availability.

Special conditions for Fine Private Dining and Fine Catering:

  • Up to 15 days before the event: free cancellation

  • 14–7 days before the event: 50 % of the total amount

  • From 6 days before the event: 100 %
    Rebookings are possible depending on availability.


d) Boutique Private Staffing

  1. Placement Assignments (Candidate Mediation):
    Cancellations are free of charge until written confirmation of engagement.
    After confirmation, the full fee is due if candidate proposals have already been provided.


5. Liability
VELLA is liable only for direct damages caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
Liability for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of profit, is excluded.

For third-party services (e.g., chauffeurs, chefs, artists, medical professionals), VELLA acts solely as an intermediary.
Responsibility and liability rest with the respective third-party provider.


6. Confidentiality and Data Protection
VELLA maintains the highest level of confidentiality in all client matters.
Personal data is used exclusively for service delivery and processed in accordance with Swiss data protection regulations.

Client information is not shared with third parties unless required for contractual performance or by law.


7. Availability and Force Majeure
VELLA strives to ensure the best possible execution of all confirmed services.
In cases of events beyond VELLA’s control (force majeure, illness, government restrictions, strikes, natural events, etc.), VELLA reserves the right to postpone or cancel appointments.


8. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
Swiss law applies exclusively, excluding international conventions (e.g., UN Sales Law).
The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is VELLA’s registered office in Gockhausen, Zurich, unless otherwise required by law.


9. Final Provisions
If any provision of these GTC is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
Any amendments or additions to these GTC must be made in writing.
